CORONAVIRUS:
Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as SARS and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS).
These viruses were originally transmitted between animals and people.
The name coronavirus comes from the Latin word corona, meaning crown or halo. Under an electron microscope, the image of the virus is reminiscent of a solar corona.

symptoms:
According to the NHS and the WHO, symptoms of the Wuhan coronavirus usually include:
Feeling tired always
Difficulty in breathing
A high temperature
A cough and/or sore throat
These symptoms are similar to other respiratory diseases, including flu and the common cold. So if you have symptoms consider the following:
Have you travelled in the last two weeks to a high risk area?
Have you been in contact with someone who has?
When to seek medical help:
If you have travelled to Wuhan City in China (or another significantly affected area) in the last two weeks, or have been in contact with someone who has and feel unwell, call NHS 111 for advice now.
Do NOT go straight to a doctor's surgery or hospital as, if you have the virus, you risk spreading it to others.
Precautions:
Carry a hand sanitiser with you to make frequent cleaning of hands easy.
Always wash your hands before you eat.
Be especially careful in busy airports and other public transport systems about touching things and then touching your face.
Carry disposable tissues with you, cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze and dispose of the tissue carefully (catch it, bin it, kill it).
Do not share snacks from packets or bowls that others are dipping their fingers into.
Avoid shaking hands or cheek kissing if you suspect viruses are circulating.
Regularly clean, not just your hands, but commonly used surfaces and devices you touch or handle.
Treatment:
There is no specific antiviral treatment recommended for 2019-nCoV infection. People infected with 2019-nCoV should receive supportive care to help relieve symptoms. For severe cases, treatment should include care to support vital organ functions.
People who think they may have been exposed to 2019-nCoV should contact your healthcare provider immediately.
Over 300 Indians, mostly students, were brought back to Delhi from Wuhan on a special flight this morning. They will be kept in a quarantine facility for now.
How it spread from raw or cooked meat of an infected animal:
In areas affected by the virus, the WHO advises taking extra precautions in live animal markets like the one in Wuhan. Direct contact with live animals or surfaces they use, without having any protective equipment over your face and hands, is high-risk in an infected area.
As a meat consumer, medical experts recommend avoiding any raw or undercooked animal products, be extra careful when handling raw meat, milk or animal organs to avoid cross-contamination with uncooked foods.
